PTA Goals
Your membership is important to your child’s education. The Waterloo PTA brings together all Waterloo communities and blends families, experiences, traditions, and expectations to ensure a productive, successful 2009-2010 school year. In support of this, the PTA:
- Fosters a sense of community between the school and across all Waterloo neighborhoods where students, staff, and families participate and contribute
- Supports the Waterloo School Staff in providing an outstanding education for our children
- Promotes an environment where students, staff and families are valued
National PTA Goals
- To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship.
- To raise the standards of whole life.
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
- To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
- To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages, mental, social, and spiritual education.
PTA Membership
We encourage everyone to join!
PTA membership is open to anyone - moms, dads, grandparents, guardians, school staff and community members. Members may belong to any number of PTAs and pay dues in each. Every person who joins a local PTA automatically becomes a member of both the state and National PTAs.
Together we are a powerful voice for children.
If you have any questions about how you can become a member, email Kim McCauley .
